This year, Geltner won a Gold Coast PR Council award for "Best Online PR Campaign." She also was honored with a Public Relations Society of America first place award in community relations for “National Exposure with No Budget,” for placing at the top of the Google rankings.
In addition, she won a National Headliner Award for outstanding reporting and was a top five national finalist in the American Society of Newspaper Editors’ Distinguished Writing awards.
In Washington, D. C., Geltner reported for Jack Anderson, John Naisbitt, Sylvia Porter, the Capitol Hill bureau of the Los Angeles Times and has been quoted in Newsweek, the International Herald Tribune, Editor & Publisher, American Journalism Review, etc. She was a Knight Ridder Newspapers foreign correspondent in Israel; and was under SCUD missile attacks during the Gulf War I. She’s also been on assignment in Cairo, Lapland and Singapore and is a published photographer.
Geltner has taught publicity techniques to boards, corporations, government agencies and charities and is presently president of Froogle PR, a multimedia marketing and special events firm. She is represented by Jane Dystel in New York.
